In late 2000, Macton Corporation initiated an effort to evaluate and select an ERP software system that would allow us to effectively integrate our engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, accounting and project management functions. This effort took us through a disciplined process to evaluate our needs, specify our requirements and evaluate various candidate software packages.
When choosing an ERP solution to meet our needs, we chose Questica 2000 as it was the best software solution to fit how we conducted business. It allowed us to order long lead items ahead of other required items; exhibited similar project flow patterns as our company; and provided project cost details.
Questica 2000 has had a very positive effect on our operations. It is now faster to view project performance; build a BOM; re-use info on existing projects for new projects; and compare material due dates against project schedule. We also have more efficient Purchasing and Accounting functions and improved turnaround on replacement parts.
Questica 2000 has allowed us to be more competitive by increasing our cost savings and improving our turnaround on replacement parts. We have also improved Engineering and Purchasing and Accounting efficiency.
With all of its great features and easy to use functionality, we would definitely recommend Questica 2000 to other custom design manufacturers.
